"Neil Gaiman Audio Collection" by Neil Gaiman Length: 48 min. ISBN: Listen to an excerpt with: Windows Media Player Real Player |
I’ve just finished another Neil Gaiman audio book, this time a collection of his short stories. There is only one CD but I think it’s a disc children will happily listen to over and over again. The tales range from the funny (”On the Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish”) to the slightly creepy (”The Wolves in the Walls”) . All are enjoyable.
At the end of the CD Gaiman’s daughter interviews him. He speaks of his first book, why he enjoys writing for children, what his favorite stories are, etc. Children may or may not care much for this part, but as a parent it was nice to hear Neil speak about his art and his daughter does a good job asking him questions. You just can’t go wrong with an author who states “I absolutely love audio books!” :-)
